Why Disney??

Dreams really do come true at Disney World

I give everything I do 110%.  From my involvement with PTO at my son’s school, the Auxiliary at our fire department or our local breast cancer walk, failure or less than my best isn’t an option. My love for Disney is no different.   I often get asked why I love Disney so much so here are some answers to questions I’ve gotten.

What’s so Special about Disney?

Where else can you give Tigger a kiss?

Where do I start??  Everything!!  Before moving to the South, we vacationed in Charleston, SC for several years and fell in love.  While Charleston is amazing, I never really felt like I could totally relax.  Things were spread apart so we worried about timing, directions and traveling with two kids.  We’d also been to theme parks in the past and were familiar with the long lines and less than stellar service at those places.  We have none of those issues while we’re at Disney.  One major concern is my oldest son’s long list of allergies.  Disney is the only place we’ve found that he can eat with no problems.  Chefs take time to come out of the kitchen and speak with our family and make a meal especially for my son so we can all eat together as a family with no worries.    Something truly magical happens when I pass under that arch welcoming me to Walt Disney World.  I don’t have to worry about when my next meeting is, printing checks or answering questions.  Instead, I’m focused on rides, restaurants and relaxing.

Disney’s for Kids

You can let loose and have fun at Disney

I grew up pretty quickly and wasn’t lucky enough to have a “normal” childhood so this is a perfect reason for me to enjoy Disney and be a kid again.  I also don’t buy the “Disney’s only for kids” line.  With the wide range of attractions, shows, restaurants, tours and other things to do, there really is something for everyone at Disney.  If you can’t find something fun at Disney, you can’t find fun anywhere.

Disney’s too Expensive

Yes I totally agree and fell into that mindset before looking into Disney vacations and doing some research.  Even knowing all that I know now, it can still seem expensive at times but one thing to remember is you don’t have to do everything every time.  There are so many ways to make your trip affordable for your family.  When you look at the value for the money spent instead of just the dollars and cents of it all, you’ll see that it’s challenging to find another vacation comparable for the experience and money.

It’s Just a Place to Vacation

For me, Disney is so much more than that and always will be.  Disney’s given me a “happy place” even when the “real world” isn’t always so happy.  I look forward to the trips and can truly relax while I’m there.  I could spend an entire day at any one of the parks without ever going on a ride and still have an amazing time in the park.  We all need a break from reality and Disney does an excellent job providing that.

I’ve Been to Theme Parks

Disney is far and above a normal “theme park”.  A few minutes in any of the parks proves that.  Yes there are places to eat and rides but that’s about where the comparisons end.  Customer service at Disney is far and above what I’ve experienced anywhere else.

You’ve Got to be the Only Person who Feels this Way about a Giant Mouse

For me Disney has been a connection with my children and traditions and memories that will last forever.  My love of Disney has also brought amazing people into my life that I wouldn’t have otherwise met.  Through the inner mouse vidcast, Facebook and Twitter, I’ve meet an entire group of people who share my love for Disney and some are even more neurotic than me!  It’s comforting knowing I’m not the only one who feels this strongly about something that’s nothing more than a popular vacation destination for many.

Weren’t you Just There?

I don’t think there such a thing as too many vacations.  There are so many things to do at Disney that you need to go multiple times to experience everything.

Hopefully this gives you a little insight on why I love Disney so much and am always looking forward to our next trip.  I’d love to hear why you love Disney so much.
