My 3 Favorite Magic Kingdom Snacks

When I think of Walt Disney World the first thing that comes to mind is how each time I am there it is a brand new experience unlike any other vacation I’ve had before, even if I do almost the same exact things as I’ve done on previous visits. I always feel like a new guest experience has been created just for me and my family. I savor each moment from the attractions to the dining experiences. The attractions are my old friends and it always great to see them once again. Then there is that wonderful Walt Disney World food, the aphrodisiac to the magic. Well, the magic doesn’t end with the attractions or the dining experiences, it continues to and beyond the mouth watering snacks located throughout Disney World property, some of which can found in the Magic Kingdom.

While I think back to my visits to the Magic Kingdom there are three snacks that standout above all the rest. They all appear to be ordinary but they are all rather extraordinary.

3. Cheese Danish – available at the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom. Every time I have one I am reminded of when I was a small child. It’s just like the Cheese Danish my grandparents would bring me from a bakery on Fordham Road in the Bronx, NY. Remarkably like the bakery near my grandparent’s house it always has just the right amount of cheese filling and it’s just as sticky.

2. Popcorn – As soon as you walk into the Magic your sense to smell will be overcome by the smell of the popcorn. The popcorn cart is located in the circle once you enter into the park’s entrance. It is so irresistible that you are compelled to buy the popcorn and once you taste it I dare you to tell me you’ve had better. Believe it or not the popcorn smell is actually artificially created and pumped into the park but nevertheless it is simply the best popcorn on Disney property.

1. Dole Whip – is without a doubt my favorite snack not only in the Magic Kingdom but on all Disney property. Dole Whips are available in Adventureland at Aloha Isle and you can also get them at the Polynesian Resort. The Dole Whip at the Polynesian Resort are self serve so you can really pile it on. My favorite is the original which is a mixture of creamy vanilla ice cream and pineapple ices. A Dole Whip float, also available at Aloha Isle is also so, so good. I know it’s impossible to have everything you want but if your in the Magic Kingdom never ever exit without having at least one Dole Whip.

Missing from my top 3 are Mickey Bars which I did not include because they are available in numerous places throughout Disney property.

I would love to hear what your favorite Magic Kingdom snacks are.
