I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the Grand Reopening of California Adventure last week and was there to see Radiator Springs finally come to life as Cars Land was opened to the public! From the Red Carpet Premier to watching the Red Car Trolley transport the first guests down Beuna Vista Street on opening day, the entire event was an amazing experience.
Cars Land is full of great food, so as you can imagine, I was in heaven the entire time! From flavored popcorns to churro bites the Cozy Cone has something to suit every taste and I was pleasantly surprised by the many fun specialty drink options which were available! I made it a point to try each and every one and I must say that it’s refreshing to have some unique beverage options to choose from rather than the usual Coke products. These drinks are also available in “high octane” for those adults who wish to go all out!
These fun and fruity new concoctions include:
Red’s Apple Freeze (Frozen Apple Juice, Toasted Marshmallow Syrup, Passion Fruit / Mango Foam)
Ramone’s Pear of Dice (dessert pear syrup, mojito syrup, Sprite)
“Route” Beer Floats (Root Beer and Soft-Serve Ice Cream)
Doc’s Wild Grape Tonic (Wild Grape Syrup and Sprite topped with Wildberry Foam)
Fillmore’s Fuelin’ Groovy Ades: All Natural Lemonade with Wildberry Foam and Pomegranate Limeade with Lemon-Lime Foam.

Breakfast of Piston Cup Winners: Scrambled Egg and Bacon Cone with Pomegranate Limeaid
Today, I’m bringing you a groovy recipe for Fillmore’s Pomegranate Limeade which is addictive, so beware. I loved it so much, I had to race home to whip some up for myself.
Fillmore’s Groovy Pomegranate Limeade with Lemon-Lime Foam
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Pure Pomegranate Juice (I use POM brand)
1 cup Lime Juice (I squeeze it fresh)
1 1/2 cups Cane Syrup (Simple Syrup made by boiling water and adding sugar)
1 small box lemon lime Jello
2 oz. Freshly Whipped Cream
Directions:
- Whisk together pomegranate juice, lime juice, and sugar syrup to make a concentrate. Pour into glass container and store in refrigerator.
- For Lemon Lime Foam, whip Cream in the traditional manner, then add 1 oz. of the Jello mix to the cream and mix lightly.
- To mix up limeade, combine 1/2 cup of the concentrate with 1 qt. cold water.
- Serve over ice or shake over ice before pouring into glass
- Spoon foam on top of the drink to cover the entire top
