Little Details Number 5: You Must Weigh This Much To Ride

This weeks Little Details is from one of my favourite resorts. When I visited Walt Disney World before I purchased my DVC, I would always stay at Disney’s All Star Resorts. Then in 2003 a new value resort opened up and I immediately booked up to stay at Pop Century as I had loved the big and bold All Star Resorts.

I stayed in the 70′s section of Pop Century and being a child that was born in the 80′s I didn’t know much of the big “icons” that adorned the area. But there was one item that I had used as a child and that was the big wheel.

 

My family had stayed on the 3rd floor of the building as we don’t like noise coming from the rooms above. One day I was waiting for the lift to take me down to the ground floor and I was looking over the balcony. It was then I noticed on the big wheel something that made me chuckle.

 

Yes the recommended child weight for this big wheel is 877 LBS! I thought this was an amazing detail and instantly shared it with my family who thought it was amazing that the Imagineers have thought of such a thing.
