Hello Everyone! Well last time my Tell No Lies post got some heat from some of you, but that’s ok. We all have our own opinions and thoughts on things. After all the world would be a horrible place if we all thought the same.
So this Tell No Lies I am going to talk about something I have done but not visited in a long time. I don’t think I have actually visited this show since 1993 as I dont believe it has changed, but I vow to go again on this upcoming trip.
The show im talking about is the Indian Jones Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Im sure most of you don’t make this a regular must see and skip it on most trips to the Studios. If you do see it on every visit then that’s good, but I simply do not find enough time in my day at the Studios to go see it. The Studios is a very show heavy park and it’s very hard to fit everything in. You have to sacrifice 1 or 2 shows if you want to do all the attractions and choosing which show is hard and unfortunately it’s Indiana Jones that normally gets left. (Hey, I’m a sucker for Beauty and the Beast).
So there is my reasoning, and now here are some history and facts of Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular.
The show opened on August 25th 1989 and is a 25 minute show featuring scenes from the Raiders Of The Lost Arc film. The show is the longest running show at a Disney World park (23 years).
The various sets of the show are built on rolling platforms, like parade floats and are pulled into place by tractors. The Temple in particular is one of the largest moving sets in history at a massive 100 tons.
And let’s not forget one of the most iconic scenes, the boulder. The boulder itself weighs around 440 pounds and is filled with compressed air. So our Indy will definitely get hurt if he gets rolled over by the boulder.
So my friends, have you ever done Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular? Do you miss this out in favour of other attractions and shows? Or do you make sure to see this every time, and why?

We don’t see this show on every visit to WDW, but we do like to catch it every few years or so. I’d love it if WDW would get the Indiana attraction from California… that looks amazing!
