Cool Disney Finds – Mickey Mouse Mini Speaker

For anyone who doesn’t know this about me. I love to shop. I mean LOVE to shop. And I love any and all things Disney (you guys knew that part right?). Since I’m often shopping, and often shopping for Disney stuff…I thought it might be fun to occasionally share with you some of my interesting finds!

Today’s share – the Mickey Mouse Mini Speaker!

Mickey Mouse Mini Speaker

I found this little beauty recently at the Times Square Disney Store in New York. Retail price was $19.50, but it was Friends and Family weekend which meant I had a 25% off coupon burning a whole in my pocket. The minute I saw this, I had to have it.

Size wise, it is very similar to an antenna ball, but with little plastic feet that it stands on. The speaker comes with two cables. The first cable is a USB cable, which can be used to contect Mickey to a USB port on your computer. An excellent way to charge the resuable battery he comes with. The second cord is an audio cord to plug into your iPhone, iPad, mp3 player, laptop, or probably pretty much any other audio device. Both cables plug into the back of the speaker so as not to disturb the visual aesthetic. Sound quality does the job just fine, I definitely like it better than just playing music directly out my phone’s speakers, which is what I’d normally do when sitting at my computer if I wanted to listen to something.

All in all, I think it was a cute little addition to my Disney collection. If you are interested in adding one to your collection, it is showing available right now at disneystore.com: Mickey Mouse Mini Speaker

I LOVE my Mickey speaker! It’s a great way to listen to my fave Disney podcasts wherever I am. I especially love that the battery is rechargeable, something I didn’t know when I got it. Buying those tiny watch batteries can be quite annoying!
Thanks for using your power of purchase persuasion on me :-)

I love the rechargeable battery too! I think this will be a very handy little speaker to have around! And I also loved the company shopping :) I have minnie mouse nail polish on my toes right now too!

We received one of these from a friend who went to Hong Kong Disney. For the life of us, we cannot open this up to access the battery!! Help!

I’m not aware that it can be taken apart. It should have come with a small usb cable. To charge it you plug the USB cable into the speaker and then into a laptop or like an iphone charger with a USB port. This is how I charge mine.
