Hello Everyone!!
Last year thanks to Disney Vacation Club, I was able to stay at the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge. My room was over at Kidani Village overlooking the Savannah and I must say that it was one of my favorite hotel experiences.
Whilst lying on my bed watching Stacey’s Must Sees (come on we all watch it over and over again.), I saw this little chap on my quilt!
This, for those of you that do not know is called a “Hidden Mickey”. A quick definition is, a representation of the classic Mickey silhouette inserted into a location. These are everywhere across Disney property and you may have even seen the “Hidden Mickey’s Field Guide” by Steve Barrett being sold in Disney World stores. If you haven’t picked this book up I suggest you do. It’s great fun and very addictive.
Anyway after I finished T.V. time I approached the T.V. unit and what do I see carved in the wood?
Yep another, slightly different Hidden Mickey!
I decided to have a look around to see if I could find any more in my room as the excitement of finding Hidden Mickeys was taking over me. On the floor I come across yet another Hidden Mickey.
After all the excitement of finding Hidden Mickeys in my room, I decided to head out for some dinner. All the excitement made me hungry. As I was walking along the hallway towards the elevators, I stopped and laughed. I had seemed to not get away from the Hidden Mickeys and realized they were not just confined to my room.
So have you got a fascination with Hidden Mickeys? Or have you never even heard of these before?
