Boo-boo-boo-boo-boo to YOU!! Happy Halloween!

Last year when I took Princess Belle, I mean, Kayla,  trick – or – treating on Halloween, we were surprised to see so many people with Disney decorations up! Of course, being a Disney FANATIC…I took pictures!  I know I got some strange looks, but hey…it’s a way to feel a bit of the Disney magic here in Chicago!

I had planned for us to attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this upcoming weekend, that is, when we had planned on attending the WDW Radio Cruise 2.0…unfortunately, we had to cancel that a few months ago! I had never been and was excited to take Kayla and enjoy all the festivities. I guess now we will just have to wait until next fall to attend MNSSHP! I am actually excited to begin planning that soon!

Since we won’t be in Walt Disney World (WDW) this week, we have been finding other ways to enjoy a “Disney style” Halloween this week!

We have been listening to the Boo to You” parade music on my iPod while driving in the car…it’s a very catchy tune if you have never heard it before…I particularly like the ending when Goofy sings about all the candy!! “Trick or treat, trick or treat…gimme something good to eat…”

I previously mentioned about some great DEALS at the Dollar Tree store in my last article http://www.wdwfanzone.com/2012/10/disney-holiday-deals-the-dollar-tree-store/  of some great activities available seasonally! Princess Kayla loves to paint, so the Halloween paint sets are a fun way to spend some quality time together and be able to save the finished picture for years ahead to decorate with! Just date the back and even put it in a frame to display!

We LOVE to watch the Halloween Town series of movies on Disney Channel…as well as other “spooky” movies that are showing! Disney has some great Halloween movies, such as “Spooky Buddies” and the ever popular “Nightmare Before Christmas“…these are great to watch with your loved ones and some popcorn (just imagine it’s from Main Street USA!)

We are going to buy a pumpkin to carve and I would like to try to carve Mickey Mouse into it!

Wednesday afternoon I will be taking Princess Kayla trick or treating and will definitely be on the lookout for more Disney decorations, as well as counting how many Disney characters I see (the costumed ones I mean, not the real ones!) Unfortunately, Princess Kayla has decided she wants to be Barbie for the day, so no Disney costumes for us this year!

What do you do to get ready for Halloween “Disney style”?? Leave your comments below!! If on Halloween you come across any Disney decorations or someone you know dresses up as a Disney character, share your pictures with us on Twitter @wdwfanzone!

Keep up with Jamie as she dreams of her upcoming coast-to-coast WDW & DL trips in 2012 by following her on Twitter @jrobbins79 and at www.mydreamingcorner.blogspot.com
