Good Times at Walt Disney World

Good times at Walt Disney World… we’ve all had them. As a matter of fact, after our last trip in June I thought, you know what? I want to make a video…no, I  NEED to make a video of all the good times we just had on this trip. You see, this year we stepped outside of the box. We expanded our horizon and invited our friends and their two kids to stay with us in a 2 bedroom villa at Kidani Village. We had been down to Walt Disney World once before with them staying at different resorts and had a great time, but this time would be different. Would everyone get along staying in the same villa? The kids are older now (14, 12, 10, 9) would they all still want to see the same things? There’s 8 of us, would we all be able to agree on food? How would we react if someone had a meltdown? But then I thought, hey, this is Walt Disney World…what could go wrong? Turns out…nothing. The villa was a lock off so each family had their own space (with 3 televisions) for relaxing. Meltdowns? Non-existent because they were too busy having fun with their friends.  Attractions? We’d ask the kids in the morning what their “must see” attractions were and then mapped things out accordingly…and as for food, there’s so many choices, we found something for everyone.  About the only thing that didn’t agree with us was the weather.  I think it rained all but one day. However, thinking back, even that was a blessing in disguise because it forced us to slow down and head back to resort for a break and/or pool time. Did I mention that the pool served adult refreshments? Ah, yes. Good Times.

Now fast forward to October 8th…it’s been 4 months and I still haven’t done anything with that video I promised I would make. Then, while I’m driving at work I hear this song on the radio by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen and a light bulb goes off.  That’s it, I have my song!  For the next 7 days, after 20+ hours of editing that silly 3:27 song, I finished my video…FINALLY!  Reliving the memories was a lot of fun, but after spending all that time finding the perfect picture to put in at the right moment and then timing the video to sync perfectly with the music…well, let’s just say I have a little more respect for those video editors that spend months on end editing a 3 hour movie…but I digress.  Please, pull up a chair, grab some popcorn, heck, this thing is 1080p HD…get it on the big screen! All I ask is that you click the link below, take a deep breath, and enjoy all three minutes and twenty-seven seconds of this video. I promise, there’s surprises throughout to put a smile on your face.  I hope you have as much fun watching it as I did making it…let me know what you think :)
