Spring is in the Air at Walt Disney World!

Spring is such an exciting time at WDW! Especially this year we celebrate many new additions and returning favorites to the parks!

Pandora – World of Avatar is scheduled to open on May 27! The highly anticipated addition to Animal Kingdom will turn this day park into a full day/night experience. With 3 new adventures (Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey and Valley of Mo’ara) and 2 new dining experiences, (Satu’li Canteen and Pongu Pongu) journey into and explore this whole new land! I will be visiting in September and have several days planned at AK! I cannot wait to see it all in person.

Spring also brings the Flower & Garden Festival back to Epcot! With over 100 different topiaries scattered throughout Future World and World Showcase, it’s something not to be missed. I’ve been lucky enough to visit during the festival and some of my favorites are:

Bromeliad Dragon – located in the China Pavilion

Figment – located behind Spaceship Earth

Fantasia – relocated from Hollywood Studios, now located in Future World West

The Lion King – located between the Outpost and Germany

Woody – located in the American Adventure

Looking for a unique culinary experience? Visit any one of the 13 kiosks within the World Showcase and try a sampling of food and drink from around the world!

That’s just the beginning with activities such as Butterfly walkthrough, Bonsai collection, Illuminated Gardens, Shakespeare Garden and the Garden Rocks Concert Series, just to name a few.

But with all the excitement also comes some sadness as we say goodbye after 14 years to Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. I am lucky enough to have a mini weekend trip planned to see one of the final showings of Wishes (ends May 11) before making way to the all-new Happily Ever After beginning on May 12.  As many of us can relate, I have an emotional attachment to Wishes and so many wonderful memories. I couldn’t let it pass me by without seeing it one more time!

What are you most looking forward to this Spring at Walt Disney World?
